Our History
Midway Presbyterian Church
Midway Church originated as a branch of
Decatur Presbyterian Church. The Sunday
School Class began meeting on May 17,
1874, under a brush arbor near the corner of
Memorial Drive and Covington Highway.
Two years later the presbytery chartered the
Midway Presbyterian Church, established on
July 29, 1876 at our current location.
The founding pastor was Rev. Donald Frazer.
Our current sanctuary was dedicated on Palm
Sunday, 1969.
